Arriving at The Resident Victoria
On arrival, our entrance is on Palace Place. There is a quiet drop-off point for cars and taxis available close to our entrance. The entrance is flat, with automatic doors available. To enter, please press the push to open button. The door is wide and perfect for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Should you require assistance entering the building, carrying luggage, or anything else, our team will happily help.
Navigating our reception area
Once inside the hotel, our reception desk is in our front hall. There is a large window offering visibility to the street outside. The lounge area is flat and has a selection of seating available.
The furniture is arranged to provide ample space for accessible aids, including wheelchairs. Our reception area has accessible wood floors suitable for wheelchair users. We also have an induction loop for hearing impaired guests. Should you require any information in large print, a member of our team will be happy to assist.
Health & Safety Peep Forms
On arrival, you may be asked to fill in a PEEP (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan) form. This allows our team to gauge what support, action, and protection is needed in case of a fire, flood, or other emergency. A member of our team will discuss how best to react in an emergency, highlight potential exit strategies, and supply you with a deaf guard if needed. This information will be documented and communicated to each Duty Manager. They will also answer your questions or concerns about your evacuation.
Navigating the hotel
We have both laminated wood flooring and carpet, all of which should be free from trip hazards and traversable for wheelchair users. Our automatic doors feature wheelchair friendly buttons to open and are placed at an accessible height for wheelchair users. At various points, we feature refuge call points for any guests in the event of an emergency. We feature a generously-sized lift, able to comfortably accommodate a wheelchair and a small number of guests. The lift buttons featured indented numbers and braille. The number of the floor is displayed on a digital screen to assist hearing impaired guests.
