Little Liverpool
Liverpool
- Liverpool
A hands-on mini city where children under six explore Liverpool through imaginative play, water, building and storytelling.
Little Liverpool is a specially designed interactive gallery for children aged six and under, offering a playful introduction to the city’s stories, spaces and spirit. Created with young visitors in mind, the exhibition combines hands-on activities, imaginative environments and sensory experiences that encourage learning through play.
Inspired by Liverpool’s waterfront, communities and cultural heritage, Little Liverpool allows families to explore together in a safe, welcoming space. Children can sail boats, build structures, crawl, climb and experiment — all while developing curiosity, confidence and creativity.
The exhibition is divided into themed zones, including water play inspired by the River Mersey, construction areas that reflect the city’s architecture, and cosy spaces for quieter exploration. Every element has been carefully designed to support early years development while keeping play at the heart of the experience.
Whether it’s a child’s first museum experience or a regular family outing, Little Liverpool offers a joyful way to connect Liverpool’s past and present with the city’s youngest explorers.
